Sexy, Rancher Cinders saves Shannon and offers her a job. To protect her reputation he marries her. They both agree it’s a marriage of convenience. He admires her spunk and willingness to learn everything about surviving the Texas frontier. He waits for her to ask to go home but she never does.

They learn a lot about each other through, stolen horses, Indian troubles, a cattle drive and the busybodies of the town. Their attraction for each other grows, but can they learn to trust enough to love?

EXCERPT

The world seemed eerily quiet as she pushed herself up from the hard packed dirt, only to fall back down. Her ankle hurt. Tears filled her eyes, as she glanced around. There stood the women from the mercantile, staring, and their eyes full of terror. She’d get no assistance from them.

John Hardy strutted into the street and laughed while he gestured for two of his men to pick her up. “Come on, honey, it’s time for our honeymoon.”

She heard the clomping of hooves and the turn of wagon wheels behind her but the wagon didn’t stop to help her either. By this time, a crowd had gathered and now there were men standing with the group of women. She tried to plead for help with her eyes but they glanced away.

Two men grabbed at her to haul her back into the saloon when a loud cocking of a gun erupted from behind.

“Put her down.” A man’s voice threatened.

John stepped forward, thrusting out his chest. “Listen, Cinders, this is none of your business. It’d be in your best interest to leave things be.”
The world began to dim and spin, the smell of blood was the last straw. She fainted.

 AUTHORS INTERVIEW

Q: Can you tell us a little about yourself to start?
I write contemporary and historical western romance. I live in Fort Worth, Texas with mt husband and son.

Q: How are you feeling now that your latest book is out & on tour?
On top of the world. I’ve received so much positive feedback, it’s really amazed me.

Q: How does your family feel about you being a published author?
They are proud of me.

Q: Are you currently working on a new book at this time?
I’m working on the 2nd book in the Texas Mail Order Series- Keegan’s Bride

Q: What was the first thing that came to your mind when your first book was published?
It was so surreal. It was time to do the happy dance.

Q: What is your favorite genre to read & write?
I love Historical Western Romance

Q: As a child what did you want to do when you grew up?
A mechanical engineer like my dad- I became an accountant instead and now I write

Q: Did you always want to be a writer? If not what did you want to be?
Writing never entered my mind until 6 years ago when I sat at my kitchen table and started writing. I never really knew what I wanted to be.

Q: Do you read all the reviews for your book(s)?
Of course I do. I like to know what readers think. Reviews that are constructive I respect. In fact with this book a reviewer was adamant she needed to know what happened to a certain character. I didn’t think the character to be likable so I didn’t plan a book for him. Now Tramp will be book 4 of the Mail Order Brides of Texas

Q: Of all of the books you have written do you have a favorite & why?
Cinders’ Bride is my favorite. I had a lot of fun writing it and I love Cinders.

Q: What are your favorite types of heroines? Do you like the damsel in distress who needs saving or the kick-ass variety? Why?
Damsel in distress- I like a book where the hero swoops in and rescues the heroine. I love a book that makes me cry and a lot of those are the damsel in distress type.

Q: Can you tell us about your worst date ever?
The guy I was with was asking the bartender what time she got off work
